The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and management of all Building and Engineering Services within the Trust. The post holders will have completed a recognised apprenticeship, have an electrical background and will be responsible for the provision of engineering maintenance services primarily for the Trust owned buildings within the Durham and Darlington locality of the Trust. Carry out installation and improvement works across all contracted sites, in accordance with organisational standards and national legislation. To assist other trades and contractors, in accordance with service need. To ensure that all tools, equipment and machinery used in the performance of duties are tested and maintained to meet current requirements at all times. To ensure that work is undertaken at all times in accordance with Health and Safety requirements to ensure the environment remains safe for patients, staff, and visitors to the Trust.
