The service is part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team in Children's SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. Do you have a passion for helping young people struggling with mental health problems such as eating disorders? SET CAMHS - Eating Disorder Service is commissioned to provide assessment for CYP presenting with symptoms of Avoidant Restrictive Intake Disorder , across Southend, Essex and Thurrock. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team in assessing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a programme of care for service users with an ARFID diagnoses. Interest or experience of assessment of ARFID or with CYP with sensory profile. Willingness to attend training and develop skills. Ensuing that recommendations are communicated by utilizing the highest level of interpersonal skills to all members of the team and incorporated in the service users overall package of care. Attending weekly MDT meetings to provide expert advice to clinicians regarding the progression of therapy support which is evidence based. Maintaining professional standards through ongoing continuing professional development, audit and evaluation in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council Standards and Trust Policies and Procedures. To working closely with SET CAMHS generic teams and formulate recommendations who will be offering NICE guideline evidence based treatment for ARFID About us Please see attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Children and Young Peoples Community Eating Disorder Team, based in Chelmsford. The service provides the latest in evidence based NICE compliant psychological interventions to children, young people and their families with an Eating Disorder. You will need to demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge, ability to provide highly specialist assessment and therapeutic skills as well as high standards of time management and organisational skills. You will be motivated to develop your own learning, contribute to service development and the training and development of colleagues and students.
