Using independent judgement, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational co-ordination of medical staffing issues within the sub-specialities of the Surgical and Dental Directorate including the on-call rotas across N.Wales. We are seeking applications for a permanent post within the Surgical Division at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. If you are tenacious, with a flexible approach to work, cope well under pressure and would like a job that challenges you then you could be the person we are looking for to fill this new post.The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective rota co-ordination across the Surgical Directorate. The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work with minimum supervision. They will possess a positive and solution focused attitude at all times to ensure rotas are in place to deliver an efficient and effective operational clinical service for all of our patients. The post holder will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adopt a positive attitude towards staff and problem solving and will be required to work on their own initiative, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, referring issues to their Line Manager as appropriate.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Co-ordination of all leave arrangements and prospective cover for Consultants and junior medical staff. The post holder will work closely with the health boards New Deal Coordinator in monitoring the shift patterns on a regular basis to ensure continued compliance with New Deal and EWTD.The post holder will assist in the production of weekly/monthly duty rosters for Consultant and junior medical staff within sub-specialties of theDIRECTORATE.The post holder will also undertake ad hoc reports and projects as and when requested by the General Manager for Scheduled Care, Clinical Director,Lead Site Specialty Manager or, Management Team. These reports / projects will be in line with the responsibilities of the grade of the post. "}
