Do you want to work within a multidisciplinary team providing great care for paediatric patients? We are looking for a rotational band 7 specialist Pharmacist to join our team. The role will provide cover to a range of paediatric medical and surgical specialties on a rotational basis and will be fully supported by a large team of experienced pharmacists and technical staff. Previous experience in paediatrics is desirable but not essential and we encourage all interested candidates to apply or get in touch to discuss the opportunity. To provide a daily clinical pharmacy service to designated area(s) in order to provide pharmaceutical care to patients and ensure the safe, appropriate & cost-effective use of medicines at all stages of the drug use process, monitor patients for adverse drug events and minimise medication-associated risk. Regularly visit wards, working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team involved in providing seamless patient care. Using knowledge and expertise contribute to the cost effective, safe and efficient prescribing and utilisation of medicines and improve patient experience. Advise all health care professionals on the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines. Promote the safe, efficient and rational prescribing of medicines in line with current trust policies. Record pharmaceutical interventions and attend clinical meetings as required. Provide a comprehensive and thorough enquiry answering service and answer pharmaceutical enquiries related to the hospital's specialist services. Liaise with directorate and regional drug information services as required. Ensure that agreed local and national guidelines, policies and procedures are affected at ward level. To report medication errors, incidents and complaints using the appropriate trust systems "}
