The Digital Consultation & Training Practitioner will deliver training packages to schools with the aim of increasing staff confidence and competence in dealing with their CYPs low level mental health needs in an education setting. The role will work alongside colleagues to develop Compass Wave 12 MHSTs, building positive partnerships with education settings and other CYPF services to drive highly effective and CYPF focussed mental health and wellbeing services in line with the national MHST operating framework. Compass Birmingham MHST (Wave 12) is a brand new early intervention and preventative mental health and emotional wellbeing service. The service delivers evidenced based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. The service is part of the national MHST Programme, which has been commissioned following the Transforming Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Care Provision: A Green Paper (2017). You will be a values-driven (integrity, valuing each individual, solution focused, consistent and reliable) individual with a passion for supporting children, young people and families mental health and wellbeing. You will also have: Qualification in mental health or working with children & young people such as; Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology or accredited counselling or equivalent NVQ level 4 in children, young people or families, social care or mental health Experience of facilitating individual/group work with children, young people, or young adults Experience of developing and delivering high- quality training packages to professional including education staff Due to the nature of the role there is a need to travel to individual schools and community settings, which will require a driving license and access to a vehicle (for individuals who cannot drive due to a disability, we can consider accessibility options i.e. provided via Access to Work etc).
