We are looking for a highly motivated band 5 staff nurse to join our team within the Urology diagnostic and treatment services. The successful candidates will be required to work across cross sites. You will be expected to show commitment, flexibility and good interpersonal skills to provide high standards or care for those patients accessing our services. The hours of work will predominantly Monday to Friday, but evening and weekends will be required. Use and access of a car is essential requirement for this position. We are predominantly a nurse led service, with consultant cover daily. We encourage staff to complete training in advanced skills to enable them to plan, assess and care for patients, undergoing diagnostic investigations for both benign and malignant urological disease. Duties will include: Assisting with diagnostic procedures Administrating chemotherapy for the treatment of bladder cancer Teaching patient's intermittent self-catheterisation Urinary flow studies Candidates please note that full or part time will be considered for this post. This post will include across site working . About us To assess, plan, implement and evaluate pathways of care, under the supervision of department manager. To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of the nursing services in the department in the absence of senior staff on a regular basis. To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC code of professional conduct. To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards.
