This is a fixed term position for one year and will provide the postholder with an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the management of patient with complex restorative dentistry needs. The Eastman is world renowned for excellence in clinical care, teaching and research and you will be part of a team that are dedicated to upholding these values. You will have the opportunity to participate in the management of patients requiring multi-disciplinary care including head and neck oncology, hypodontia, and craniofacial conditions This job plan is anticipated to contain 10 Programmed Activities per week all of which will be carried out on the Eastman Site with the exception of outreach clinics and does not include on-call commitments. The key focus will be: o Participation in Consultant led new patient clinics where a range of patients referred by general dental practitioners and other providers are seen and a diagnosis and treatment plan provided.o Treatment of patients involving a range of care with varying complexity including multidisciplinary involvement in an outpatient setting under local anaesthesia, sedation and general anaesthesia.o Emergency management of patients undergoing treatment at the Eastman.o Attendance at joint clinics and provision of care to patients taken from these clinics.o Attendance at outreach clinics.o Planning and restorative management of patients diagnosed with head and neck cancero Management of patients with other acquired and congenital disorderso Participate in audit at both departmental and hospital level.o Participate in training of Dental Care Professionals when and if appropriate.
