As a manager you will need to demonstrate good organisational skills, have experience of managing people, the ability to work flexibly and have a high level of personal resilience and problem solving. The expectation is that the individual that will be successful in this post will be keen to implement change and embrace the fast paced nature of the industry internationally. The operational superintendents are also assigned specific tumour groups on a rotational basis and are there to provide expert advice and leadership, with key working relationships with clinical oncologists, radiotherapy planning team, treatment and pre-treatment radiographers. The post holder will support on-going professional development of staff and maintain their own portfolio of advanced practice. The post holder will also contribute to maintaining the radiotherapy BSI accreditation and ensure that all patients receive an outstanding quality of service as demonstrated by our CQC report.
