The individual will provide a strategic steer to ensure programmes of work are aligned to the goals and ambitions of the NHS, have experience with value logic modelling and has an outcome and benefits approach to delivery of a portfolio.The successful candidate will have experience with creation of portfolio and programme business cases, government commercial and governance processes, Government Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP) and spending review processes and be able to lead and assure all data and analytical initiatives and provide guidance to ensure success.The successful candidate will also ensuring all local initiatives are aligned to the ambitions of the directorate. The post holder will have accountability and responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the portfolio.
