If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months. Ward 25 is a 22 bedded Respiratory Support Unit. Inclusive on the ward are 15 Acute Respiratory beds which include 8 negative pressure respiratory support rooms. Included on the ward is a 7 bed Respiratory support unit where you will care for patients with complex acute and chronic respiratory conditions undergoing various treatments such as a non- invasive ventilation (NIV), Continuous positive airway pressure support (CPAP) tracheostomy care and high flow oxygen outside critical care, and many more all whilst working alongside a vibrant, developing team. The ideal candidate should be passionate, highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and show a dynamic and innovative approach to ensuring provision of safe, high quality patient care. The highest standards of infection control are essential to the role. Document when appropriate, position changes within Wirral Millennium and inform nurse in charge of any patient discomfort in a timely manner. Use Trust processes (SBAR handover and Nutritional Board) to identify patients that can safely drink fluids. Encourage patients that can drink to take regular fluids across the day as per their care plan. Enter fluids consumed by patients on Wirral Millennium and report patients that aren't drinking to the nurse in charge of their care. "}
