Applicants will be existing Band 6/7 practising midwives who work with members of the multidisciplinary team within the maternity service across Bristol and Weston. They will facilitate and provide individualised care to people pregnant with twins, multiples and their families. We are proud of our services which include: Co-located midwife led birthing unit Regional Fetal Medicine Unit A transitional care ward Midwifery led day assessment unit Continuity of Carer Teams We pride ourselves on delivering holistic care through our flexible and dynamic approach within a caring, welcoming and friendly team The role of the Specialist Midwife for Multiple Births is to promote and monitor safe and effective practice, enhance the patient experience, provide effective leadership and management, and contribute to the delivery of the Trust/Divisional objectives. The role will involve supporting midwives and other members of the multidisciplinary team, therefore previous experience in teaching and training is required. The Midwife must show knowledge of services across both sites and a desire and commitment to implement guidance and drive the services forward in both STMH and Weston. There will also be an expectation that the successful applicant ensures a cross city approach to multiple births by liaising with the team in NBT in producing joint cross city guidelines. The successful applicant will be required to work within an existing experienced team and ensure excellent communication and a willingness to help develop staff for the future. It is essential that the applicant is a registered Midwife and holds a driving licence and is a car driver.
