The role will involve coordinating activities for children aged between 3 months - 5 years and working to provide a positive environment, fostering children's all-round development. This role is being a senior nursery nurse of a specific room and providing leadership and support for staff within the setting. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating the day-to-day operations for a particular age group. Responsibility for leading the planning, evaluation and next steps for children in a specific area. Monitoring observations and learning journals in adherence to nursery's protocols and the EYFS. To act as a key worker to named children, carrying out observations/developmental reports for each child and liaising with parents regularly Working inpartnership with the team, providing support and assistance in all areas of the nursery as necessary Act as a positive and professional role model to colleagues and children To be considered for the role you will be: You will need to have a minimum Childcare Level 3 qualification and extensive experience of working in a busy nursery environment, together with excellent knowledge of the child development and current practices. Ideally you will have a track record of leading and delivering quality provision. This role will involve working varying shifts between the hours of Monday and Friday from 7.00 am - 7.00 pm so some flexibility is required.
