We are recruiting for a Senior Receptionist to work to our management team. Ensuring all day to day reception duties are performed effectively and to the required standard of the practice. Deal with complaints in accordance with practice complaints procedure. Complaints that cannot be answered swiftly to the patients satisfaction should be referred to the Practice Manager. Provide a high standard induction training for new starters and liaise with Practice Coordinator concerning staffing and organisation work. Attend staff meetings and support Practice Manager and Practice Coordinator in hosting reception meetings and provide minutes and admin for the meetings. Assist with day to day running of the practice including health and safety checks, prescription clerking and managing reports. Support the management team in promoting ED&I, SHEF, Quality & CI, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and carry out other duties as directed by the Practice Manager. The following are the core responsibilities of the Senior Receptionist. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. The Senior Receptionistis responsible for supervising and supporting the reception team, ensuring they achieve their primary responsibilities: a. Active member of the reception staff rota b. Monitoring the practice appointment system c. Ensure high standard of customer / patient service is delivered by the receptionist team d. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments a. Signpost patients to the correct service b. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies c. Workflow, Scan and Read code data on System1 d. Photocopy documentation as required e. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required About us In addition to the primary responsibilities, the senior receptionist may be requested to: a. Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead b. Produce, maintain and participate in the receptionist rota for lunch and out of hours cover c. Support the Practice Coordinator and Practice Manager in producing and maintaining the duty clinical rota, d. completing opening and closing procedures in accordance practice policy e. support Reception in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently f.
