The post holder will be responsible for organising, supervising and co-ordinating Trust service providers and contractors carrying out repair, maintenance and minor works activities at their appointed base site and other WWL sites (including SSDU and ERU facilities) as / when required. The post holder will be required to undertake audits and condition surveys of the Estates built environment and associated engineering services and produce report documents based upon the findings of those activities. The post holder must undertake their duties with due regard to operating within departmental budgets and applying commercial awareness / acumen to the benefit of service delivery. The post holder will also be aware of wider implication of Estates activities upon the wider organisation. The post holder must undertake their duties with due regard to suitably managing conflicting demands upon budgets and resources. The post holder will deputise for the site Operational Estates Manager as required during periods when the Operational Estates Manager in engaged in other business, and during periods of holidays and sickness. The post holder will analyse and interpret complex facts and information relating to Estates activities (including the wider operational implications across the organisation), satisfactorily meeting statutory / mandatory requirements, managing conflicting demands, managing the efficient allocation of labour and resources and managing, undertaking and interpreting complex fault finding and diagnosis activities. The post holder will support and assist the Estates Manager in the delivery of an efficient and effective high quality Operational Estates service upon the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary site and other Trust sites as required. The post holder will manage and supervise maintenance contracts and directly employed labour, servicing, testing, validation, verification, maintenance and repair of buildings, engineering systems and grounds in line with Trust procedures.
