Working with the ICB footprints the role will require the postholder to provide leadership for the commissioning of medical and secondary dental service in support of the NHS Long Term plan. Utilising 'Neighbourhood, Place and System' the postholder will champion collaborative commissioning, focus upon developing and commissioning integrated services, that support patients to manage their own care, prevent ill-health and access services in the most appropriate setting. The Primary Care Commissioning Team is responsible for provision of pharmaceutical, dental and optometry services. This post will either work within the East sub-region of Midlands: East: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire (5) Integrated Care Board (ICB) footprints, 11 local authority areas, 18 Clinical Commissioning Groups and has a population of 4.7 million (plus Northants). Improving quality and outcomes To work with the ICS/ICB to provide advice, insight and support to improving the quality, experience and outcomes for patients. To work collaboratively across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB matrix. To utilise local knowledge alongside national comparator data to identify opportunities to improve quality and outcomes across the portfolio of commissioned services. Financial and Physical Resources Responsible for budgets/ matching the available budget to the appropriate staff resources and projects and for ensuring that the budget breaks even,co-ordinating and monitoring expenditure.
