Reporting Incidents Taking and recording vital signs or other parameters such as height/weight Cannulating or blood taking, removing cannulas, taking specimens/samples of any kind, simple dressings ECGs or setting up cardiac monitoring Deal with oxygen administration in any capacity Any other tasks you are trained and competent in We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Senior Healthcare Support Worker with the Care Certificate and previous experience in the NHS to join our progressive and dedicated Day Surgery Unit at Ashford hospital. The Day Surgery Unit consists of an admission area, ward bays, Operating Theatres and treatment rooms which are used for a range of surgical specialties, including General, Vascular, Urology, Orthopaedic/Trauma, Oral, ENT and Gynaecology, as well as Pain Management Treatment. As a team member, you will have a range of learning opportunities available with our in-house training. Starting with a rotation throughout different areas of the department, where you will develop your competencies within each area. Informal visits to the unit are welcome so you can come and meet us and see the way that our care is delivered. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers. You will be expected to function clinically within the ward from admission through to discharge. You will carry out tasks as delegated by the Team Leader and guided by the DSU Competency Pack. "}
