Our unit comprises 28 cots - providing intensive, high dependency, special care, and transitional care for babies in the Preston and South Ribble area, as well as premature and sick babies from other parts of the Lancashire and South Cumbria region. ?? You will be active in fostering a positive working environment that allows staff to show initiative and thrive! ? Responsible for the provision of care for a cohort of patients under the delegation and supervision of the nurse in charge, including assisting with the continuous assessment and evaluation of care, performing care risk assessments, assisting with admission and discharge processes, and providing a range of clinical duties under the guidance and supervision of the team leader/nurse in charge, such as: personal hygiene and comfort ??, vital signs monitoring ??, early recognition and escalation of acutely ill patients ?, fluid balance monitoring ?, enteral feeding/meeting nutritional needs ?, oxygen therapy ?, and providing support and advice to families ???????.
