The department supports CPD, audit and research and holds regular clinical meetings and clinical governance meetings. Candidates must hold UK recognised PG Certificate/PG Diploma or Certificate in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and registered with the HCPC /NMC Kindly requesting previous unsuccessful applicants not to apply again. Perform high quality ultrasound examinations using analytical and judgement skills to interpret complex images. Formulate comprehensive, diagnostic, independently written reports for each examination Communicate distressing and unwelcome/unexpected news directly to patients using tact, empathy and diplomacy. Communicate complex information regarding diagnosis/treatment directly to clinicians and patients. Maintain personal clinical expertise in ultrasound scanning including ongoing CPD Review, update and maintain the patients' clinical records.
