You will be part of a small team and will be required to provide a high quality administrative service, contributing to the efficient running of the Anaesthetic Pre Op Assessment Department. The job is highly varied and rewarding. You will be working within a dedicated team, acting as a focal point for all who visit the APOA department. You will also play a critical role in developing and maintaining the clinics for APOA You will need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and committed to providing the highest possible standard of service to our patients, families and to both our internal and external colleagues. o Welcomes patients, staff and visitors in a friendly manner to the APOA department, ensuring that patients time of arrival is documented o Accurately book patients into the department, confirming all identification and personal details are correct, updating EPIC with any changes to patient details. Ensure the patient arrival times are logged and recorded when checking them into APOA. o Be responsible for the routine upkeep of the photocopier and printers, dealing with maintenance needs as necessary o Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient information to all parties unrelated to their medical care Open and route incoming mail, distribute correspondence and other material to clinical staff Perform a variety of routine typing assignments as appropriate o Be able to update electronic records, possess satisfactory typing skills needed to draft correspondence and enter data electronically About us The full job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge required.
