You will be based at the Royal London Hospital which is part of Barts Health NHS Trust. We are looking for qualified nursing associates with an interest in both elderly and dementia care. You must feel passionate about showing care, respect, and compassion to elderly people. Some of our patients have challenging behaviour and you should have an interest in providing enhanced care. You will work with registered nurses, health care support workers and patients' families to provide patient centred, holistic care. You must feel empowered to care for a group of patients alongside and under the supervision of a registered nurse. You must be an excellent team worker. The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across the patient \"lifespan\" and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate will work independently under the supervision of a registered band 5 or 6 nurse , working within the sphere of nursing and care and within all aspects of the nursing process. Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to the nationally recognised NMC code of conduct (2018). The nurse associate must have the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.
