You will plan, develop strategies for and deliver some of the most complex procurements in NHS Blood & Transplant, for the Corporate and IT portfolio. You will contribute towards increasing savings for NHSBT; delivering year on year cash releasing and cost avoidance savings via category management and strategic opportunities, leading strategic sourcing, supplier rationalisation, service redesign, procurement strategy, and supplier and contract management to drive quality and value for NHSBT. You will lead, actively engage, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, other public sector bodies to embed the Commercial strategy and you will develop effective partnerships, with the aim of improving customer satisfaction and engagement to ensure the needs of differing customers are identified and met. In this role you will be responsible for delivering a pipeline of procurements, primarily in the corporate category. Your responsibilities will include: Running public contracts regulations (2015) compliant procurements which deliver the stakeholders requirements and ensure the best value for money. Managing a large pipeline of procurements while ensuring stakeholders expectations are met. Developing effective procurement strategies. Providing specialist advice, guidance, and service on commercial practices to NHSBT departments; leading in the identification, assessment and management of potential risks associated with differing sourcing strategies. Inputting to Commercial policy and service development, including devising new policies, and working practices to ensure legal compliance and performance against KPIs. Responding to internal audit reviews and accountable for implementing action plans. Communicating and providing complex Commercial information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Producing written reports and presentations to the Head of Commercial Operations, Commercial Director, Director of Finance, SMTs, Executive, Chief Executive and Board on key Commercials. "}
