We are recruiting to a role in the Management team in the Division of Estates & Facilities. Reporting to the General Manager - Facilities, the post holder will play a pivotal role in the setting the direction of the portering, linen, post & stores services within Facilities. The postholder will have overall responsibility for the services, consisting of circa 100 people and over £2 million budget. Our ideal candidate would be an experienced front of house/people manager from industries such as Soft FM, Retail, Hospitality, Hotels or Warehousing. On a day to day basis, duties may include:- Provide an operational leadership and management role for services liaising closely with the Facilities Operations Manager & Senior Operations Managers Being responsible for managing identified trust contracts in respect to portering services and ensures they are maintained to meet service need and are managed within budget. Lead on service development, improvement and modernisation within their areas Working collaboratively with Nursing, Departmental Service Leads and Infection Control teams in relation to the delivery of the portering & linen services The ideal candidate will:- Be educated to degree level or possess relevant qualifications with significant experience in a senior facilities role.
