This role is with the NIHR South West Central Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN), which is hosted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW). lead the regional 3-year strategic plans and have strategic oversight of the portfolio develop strong working collaborations and partnerships with organisations and leaders in health and care research andservices in the RRDN region and seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness wherever possible. line manage and coordinate the work of the teams established to support strategic development ofresearch delivery capability and capacity, Portfolio oversight and RRDN support functions create and lead a 3-year RRDN Strategic Implementation Plan in line with the RDN strategic aims. The RRDN Strategic Implementation Plan will be developed in conjunction with regional partners, including NHSE regional offices, ICSs, HINs, patients and the public and should: (a) include measures to tackle health inequalities; and (b) deliver the objectives of the NIHR Best Research for Best Health and Saving and ImprovingLives: The Future of UK Clinical Research Delivery March 2021, Lord O'Shaughnessy's reviewand any subsequent national reviews and policy directives work with the RDN Coordinating Centre in thestrategic oversight of the RDN Portfolio.
