This post is based at the Grange University Hospital (GUH) which is a Specialist and Critical Care Centre, providing a centre of excellence to treat our most seriously ill patients. Excellent clinical, organisational and leadership skills are vital for this role ,and you will be an integral part of the team of Medical Directorate Pharmacists at GUH. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Pharmacist Medicine at GUH, to deliver a robust and patient-centered pharmacy service within the Medicine Division. This post is full-time, 37.5hrs per week and we will consider a flexible approach to needs of the service and would encourage an informal visit. With the expansion of the Respiratory bed base at GUH, this post will work closely with the Respiratory multidisciplinary team (MDT) and will be responsible for the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to this specialist area. Our patients are our highest priority, and we welcome transformative suggestions for pharmacy practice, whilst delivering excellence in pharmaceutical care. The role will be extremely rewarding and requires an individual with a broad-based clinic knowledge, with experience of working within a specialist clinical environment. Collaborative working with the Respiratory MDT will be a key aspect of the role, forging robust working relations in order to advance the delivery of pharmaceutical care. Strong teamwork and communication skills are vital for this role, and the post holder will work alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants to deliver a patient-focused pharmacy service. You will be encouraged to continue to advance your clinical knowledge and progress your skills as a Respiratory Specialist Pharmacist.
