The post holder will be expected to complete detailed mental health assessments for young people, including the identification and management of risk to themselves, others or from others. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will bring a nursing view to the team and when representing the service in meetings with other agencies. They will contribute to a learning environment for student nurses and will mentor students. They will be expected to engage in regular clinical supervision and safeguarding supervision. The post holder will be expected to maintain a caseload of young people, working in an evidenced based and time limited way, including use of outcome monitoring to measure progress and client satisfaction. Interventions may involve working individually with young people and their carers, but also with families and groups. Sessions will take place at the team base and at other locations in the community, so willingness to work in an agile way within the borough is essential.
