This is a replacement post in a team of five full time, one part time Consultant Radiologists and a Specialist Radiologist and five Superintendent Radiographers. There are no on call duties within the post, as the out of hours service (for emergency care only) is supported by a remote reporting company. The contract is for 10 PA with a further 1 PA available subject to mutual agreement. The post offers an opportunity for a varied work experience, principally involving CT, MRI, Plain Film Radiography, Ultrasound and interventional procedures. Job planned time will include MDT meetings, teaching, audit and management. There will also be an element of acute CT MRI and ultrasound work supporting the emergency pathway. The Trust is happy to consider flexible working in support of work / life balance. Extended days and compressed hours (long days) will be considered as well as weekend sessions. Our ideal new colleague will be a General Radiologist with an interest in GI imaging and will be expected to be experienced in CT colonography and other specialist GI procedures. Basic image-guided biopsy skills are welcome. The successful candidate's job plan will be configured to ensure there is opportunity to contribute during the week to the Plain film, CT and MRI reporting as well as ultrasound activity for the emergency pathway.
