More detail about the role: Clinical Nurse Manager Neonatal Unit (Patient Safety) This role will have the specific responsibility for patient safety and governance across the Neonatal unit, working collaboratively with the neonatal and maternity teams across both sites of RDUH, to improve patient safety and quality improvement. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for setting, maintaining and where needed, improving the standards of care and ensuring these are monitored 24 hours a day. As a leader they will act as an expert resource and role model for the ward team to support them in the delivery of effective care. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring a supportive environment in which all patients and carers receive a high standard of care which is compassionate and takes account of their individual needs and wishes. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring safe deployment of resources to meet and comply with professional nursing standards, governance, quality and patient safety within the budget set.
