The Surgical Care Group has an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced, highly motivated senior health care professional with demonstrable experience and expertise. Reporting directly to the Care Group Director of Nursing, the post holder will also work alongside the Care Group leadership triumvirate to ensure high levels of clinical engagement are achieved. As a member of the Care Group Senior Leadership Team the successful candidate will ensure robust and effective input into the development of strategy, policy and the business planning cycle, as well as the workforce leadership agenda for the Care Group. The Head of Nursing and Professions will have objectives jointly agreed by the Care Group Director of Nursing and the Care Group Director of Operations and will work closely with the Directorate General Managers and Clinical Directors to jointly work to achieve the Care Group and Trust's vision and objectives. The post holder will also participate in the UHD senior manager on call rota. This Post requires Registered Nurse/Allied Health Professional/Healthcare Scientist Qualification. Masters Degree or equivalent Base Location: Bournemouth (with cross site working with Poole) Interview Date: TBC The post holder will consistently develop and deliver high quality, cost effective services for patients, assuring the provision of safe, effective and evidence-based care within an agreed quality, performance and financial framework. This role supports the Care Group Director of Nursing, in leading the development of the nursing and allied health professionals agenda, working closely with the matron and directorate teams. The role has line management responsibilities for the senior matrons within the Care Group. "}
