This role will involve both classroom clinical teaching and working with HCA's in the clinical areas. The role will concentrate on tasks that directly support the needs of training and supporting Healthcare Assistants. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with an interest in delivery training to a high standard. Good communication skills are essential as is an ability to work well with others and independently. In liaison with the Practice Development Nurse you will be required: To provide clinical training and coaching for HCAs in their Band 2 foundation year. To provide classroom based teaching as part of the HCA Training & Assessment programme. To support the assessment of HCA's at the end of their induction programme. To report all performance issues of HCAs registered with the Nurse Bank to the PDN. To ensure clinical incidents and near misses are accurately reported To develop and maintain good working relationships with the managers of the clinical areas used for training purposes. To assist with the preparation and delivery of a comprehensive, appropriate and evidence based teaching programme which enables HCA's to support the delivery of basic nursing care meeting the necessary standards.
