The successful candidate will be an essential part of the clinical team team that prides itself on providing the highest level of care and the relationships built with our patients. The role will involve offering consultations to patients within a practice and supporting the needs of the patients as required. Clinical Assessments - the successful candidate must be able to offer clinical assessment for a range of presentations within a standard clinic. Treatment Decisions - the successful candidate should be able to independently identify appropriate treatment and where required order necessary investigations. Prescribing Medication - as part of a consultation the need to prescribe medication may be needed. The successful candidate should have an appropriate qualification in prescribing and show knowledge of the latest prescribing guidelines. Referrals - where appropriate, referrals to secondary care may be required as part of the process appropriate forms may need to be completed prior to referral, knowledge of local guidelines is desirable Pathology requests - process and interpret pathology and other test results as required.
