This is a physically challenging but exciting role working with a range of internal and external stakeholders. This role supports with professional development and the successful candidate should be willing to undertake 2 weeks training provided either locally or in West London along with a 3 day yearly refresher. We have a purpose-built training venue at Moorgreen Hospital Southampton although there is a expectation to provide advice, support and guidance as part of the team in clinical practice, across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Experience of working in a Child, Adult, Forensic, Older persons Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment for a minimum of 2 years is essential for this role. The post holder will be providing support directly within Clinical Training Team, the wider Training and Development Department and in clinical settings. As a trainer you will be involved in designing, delivering and evaluating the PMVA course to ensure it meets the requirements of the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Training standards and supporting the trust in their approach to reducing restrictive practices. You will be responsible for delivering training and ensuring staff are confident and competent in their knowledge and skills, using assessment methods including scenarios.
