Since it's inception in 2015 OBIS has grown from strength to strength gaining both local and national recognition. OBIS supports service users with a learning disability and offending behaviour, with an ongoing high risk of harm across Hertfordshire. The aims of the service include reduced recidivism and contact with the Criminal Justice System, reduction in hospital admissions, and increased quality of life. Referrals are made to OBIS through the Specialist Learning Disability Service. We now have a vacancy to the Team Leader post in the team. This post is pivotal to the daily functioning of OBIS, providing co ordination of the clinical and management needs of the staff working within the team. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for their vocation working with people with learning disabilities and forensic needs. They will have enjoy participating in the multi-disciplinary formulation approach, to establish the needs of individuals. We work in partnership with our services users, their carers and other professional groups, to effectively manage dynamic risk factors, support services user's growth in their goals for their lives, and participate in delivering community based treatment interventions. To deliver a high quality service which is developed using a co operative approach with service users, families, paid carers and SLDS staff to ensure practices that respond effectively to both individual and service need. The post holder will have oversight, responsibility and accountability for the provision and management of high quality care and the treatment of service users. The role will provide effective leadership to ensure the staff teams receive appropriate management supervision and support whilst ensuring professional/clinical supervision is in place to meet agreed professional development plans. Furthermore, the post holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining team systems and processes for the effective operation of the team, including key performance indicators, outcome measurements, audit, research and OBIS annual reporting. The post holder will be a RNLD or RNM with experience of working in community assessment & treatment services for people with learning disabilities. The post holder will have specialist knowledge and skills of the assessment and treatment of offenders with learning disabilities. They will be responsible for the operational management of a small MDT and will be holding a caseload of offenders with learning disabilities in the community across Hertfordshire.
