Radipole Ward at Westhaven Hospital are looking for either an experienced or new to care Health Care Support worker to join our team. As a Health Care Support Worker , you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team who support patients in need of rehabilitation and palliative end of life care for the local and wider community. You will be joining a friendly and experienced team who offer a supportive working environment. We offer a structured induction programme, and you will be given opportunities to support to develop your skills clinically and professionally with exploring our offers such as the Trainee Nursing Apprenticeship & the Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship. If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, then we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan to progress you from a band 2 to a band 3 Health Care Support Worker on successful completion. The Health Care Support Worker post is a full-time role, we would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 22.5 hours. We have a variety of flexible family working patterns listed below, Shift patterns will be discussed at interview. Early - 07.30 - 15.30 Late - 12.30 - 20.30 Long Day - 07:30 - 20:30 Nights - 20.15 - 07.45 Weekend and public holidays at enhanced pay! To assist registered nursing staff in providing high quality individualised nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers. To assist the multidisciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safedischarge. To participate in providing a range of therapeutic activitiesfor patients. Radipole Ward is a 33 bedded ward where the friendly ward team provide a high standard of care for the local population. This ranges from rehabilitation for patients after surgery, to end of life care, for which we have recently been awarded Platinum Accreditation. We offer a range of developmental opportunities to help staff progress in their careers. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
