We are looking for someone who is a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate an eagerness for the ongoing development of the service. Bryngolau ward is a 15 bed older adult mental health ward based in Llanelli. It caters for older adults service users with organic and/or functional mental health needs. The successful applicant will have experience of working in an older adult acute in-patient setting and will demonstrate and lead dynamic and innovative practice. The Service strives to provide high quality acute inpatient mental health care to the local population. The post holder would be expected to demonstrate leadership and resilience in the face of the day to day clinical, managerial and professional demands of the role. The post holder will be a qualified and registered Mental Health Nurse and will provide clinical leadership and management to an established and developing team of clinicians. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate they have the skills, knowledge and experience to provide clinical leadership and operational management for the service. The successful candidate will also require excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to work across agencies and services and demonstrate a high level understanding of local and regional developments. The successful candidate will have access to regular clinical and managerial supervision. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interviews to be held on 26/11/2024.
