The Informatics Department in the North East Ambulance Service has an opportunity for a Senior Developer to join a growing, dynamic, and busy team. You will be responsible for the specification capture, development, delivery and maintenance of software to specification for both internal and external clients. You will maintain, develop and administrate our in-house suite of software, therefore previous experience in languages such as JavaScript and frameworks such as Node.js and Angular.js is a must, as it experiences with C# using an MVC design pattern. You will also be responsible for supporting the wider development team in areas such as Data Warehousing, PowerPlatform and the trusts integration engine. You will work alongside other members of the development team and be point of escalation for all Software Development related issues. You will need a strong applied knowledge of full stack development, PowerPlatform and Data Warehousing concepts would be an advantage and to work autonomously in the delivery of new software as well as the maintenance and alteration of existing systems. You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and have experience working as a Developer. Experience of working in an agile development environment would be beneficial. The role offers hybrid working with most aspects of the job carried out remotely with days in office to catch up with the team and department a requirement. This role also includes the maintenance and development of the Trusts extensive infrastructure, with experience of C#, Angular and SQL server a definite advantage. The right applicant will be expected to liaise with the services customers to identify their requirements and produce suitable solutions within agreed timescales. As a Senior Developer will also ask you to contribute technical advice and direction for the team and to mentor our Developers. Development experience using JavaScript, JSON, C#, HTML, .NET, Azure, Microsoft 365, RESTful web services, ASP.NET and Power BI, Azure, Dataverse would be an advantage. You will be responsible for the collection of requirements for new projects and the development and delivery of said software within agreed timescales. This includes design, data extraction, development, testing, roll out and documentation of the product. You will also be expected to alter existing software and systems to spec by taking tasks from our Service Desk software. You will also provide advice on the most suitable software tools and technologies for designing, developing and testing systems, taking account of functional and non-functional requirements To fully document all aspects of the system development and stay abreast of developments in the technology field. You will also provide specialist advice regarding software development techniques, languages and frameworks. "}
