Are you an Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner looking for a new opportunity? We are on a journey expanding our successful teams to enhance our Childrens Emergency Department. If you are a qualified Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner who wants to work with dynamic and progressive team then this is an opportunity for you. You will join an embedded team of 4 Paediatric ACPs and 1 Trainee Paediatric ACP who currently work in the Childrens Emergency Department. You will support the ED team by providing patient-centred care through clinical assessment, examinations, diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner. The team may also support Childrens Services if required. You will practice advanced nursing within the Framework for Advanced Practice. Core service delivery is covered by four pillars of practice, Clinical Practice, Management and Leadership, Education and Research. You will provide expert identification, assessment, treatment and management of the acutely ill child, using complex communication skill, judgement, discretion and decision making. To be an advanced, autonomous Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner (PACP) working within their sphere of competence, providing highly specialist assessment and intervention which contributes to the diagnosis and management of acutely ill patients in paediatric in-patient areas in the Trust. You will monitor and improve standards of care through the use of evidence-based practice, supervision, teaching and supporting colleagues, provision of skilled professional leadership and be a role model. To support junior medical staff, sharing clinical workload and allow junior doctors to achieve training and development requirements. You will participate in clinical governance within the service by undertaking and participating in audit and research as part of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) within the specialist field as part of training programme. To provide leadership to nursing staff and junior doctors with regards to training and development ensuring delivery of consistent high quality of care.
