We are seeking a colleague who is passionate about promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of adults who are coping with the impact of cancer in their lives from pre-habilitation, through treatment and beyond. You would join our lively, proactive, and expanding Psychology team who are a highly valued and integral part of Cancer Services within ABUHB. It is an exciting time to be joining the team as Cancer Services within ABUHB are going through a transformation with a new Breast Care Centre and a new Radiotherapy centre opening in the near future. You will work closely with the other psychological care practitioners, medical and AHP colleagues within Cancer Services to deliver a co-produced psychological care pathway in a needs-led way. This will involve direct clinical work, group work, consultation, supervision, teaching, and training as well as developing resources and supporting staff teams both within the hospitals and community. We have excellent links with our colleagues through the All Wales Cancer Network Psychology group. The post holder will play a key role in promoting the psychological wellbeing of adults and their families coping with the impact of cancer and the staff who support them within ABUHB, through: Provision of high-quality psychological information and advice, dissemination of specialist resources and workshops for adults, their families and staff Provision of psychological support, consultation and joint working with staff who are supporting the needs of adults and their families coping with the impact of cancer. Therapeutic work with adults and their families through individual work, family work, and therapeutic groups. All of our teams enjoy the benefits of flexible working - with a mixture of home, clinical base, and in outpatient clinics across the Health Board.
