The Ophthalmology Nursing team is a progressive force that operates across Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, including the main site and smaller clinics within the Trust and in Keats House in Bush Fair, Harlow. Applications are welcomed for any Healthcare Support Workers who are passionate and enthusiastic about providing exemplary patient care. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with patient care and other departmental-related duties as directed by a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to ensure kind, safe, and compassionate care for patients. Work in a self-motivated and professional manner. To work well with all disciplines of staff and may be required to take direction from other professional staff from time to time. Required a courteous and helpful approach to patients and staff is essential. A sensible, safe conscious approach to work is necessary at all times as well as strict observance of the Trust's policies and procedure The post is advertised as a band 3 role subject to the following: successfully completing the care certification within the six month probationary period of employment, during which you will be paid Band 2 or providing a copy of your completed care certificate which has been reviewed during the recruitment process and determined as meeting the accepted standard Upon successful completion (or accepted evidence) of the Care Certification and completion of the probationary period of employment, you will be promoted to NHS AFC Band 3 Failure to complete the Care Certification within this timeframe may result in termination of employment About us Please see the attached Job description and person specification for the full job details.
