You will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking and clinical assessment through to the diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process, including assessment and diagnostic skills, leading to the delivery of safe care for all patients, and will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients. The department of General Surgery are pleased to offer an exciting new post for Physician Associates, within an established Physician Associate team. As a key member of the clinical team, the Physician Associate will be part of a friendly multidisciplinary team with a passion for patient care and service development. You will be expected to work collaboratively with all members of the surgical and other medical teams within the policies and procedures of Mid Essex Hospital NHS Trust. You will join the multi-disciplinary staff, under Consultant Supervision in providing comprehensive care for patients in General Surgery. Your duties will be arranged with the Consultant to whom you are responsible, who has final medical responsibility for all patients under his/her care.
