Consultant in Critical Care Provide a high quality, responsive Critical Care service to Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust that assumes responsibility for the patients within the catchment area in co-operation with consultant colleagues in Anaesthetics and other clinical departments. Develop a team with a strong emphasis on delivering a cross-site service. Postholders will be required to work on each site. Comply with your agreed job plan, which is reviewed annually. Acknowledge continuing clinical responsibility for any patient admitted under Consultant Intensivist care out of hours in accordance with the terms and conditions of service for Hospital, Medical and Dental Staff. Discharge teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required, and contribute to postgraduate and continuing education for medical, nursing, technical staff, GPs and other allied professions, in particular, develop and train the junior anaesthetic and critical care staff.
