An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time experienced Practice Nurse, ideally with diabetes or lead nurse experience to work at our Barton site. We are looking for a candidate full of enthusiasm and ready for the challenge to join our nursing team. We are dedicated to patient-centred care and making a positive difference in our community. To provide appropriate nursing care including health promotion and disease management to the patients of the practice. To document and evaluate need and delivery of care. The completion of health checks, health screening, immunisation and vaccination programmes. To lead on a designated area, involving call/recall and education/updates. About us To maintain NMC registration and professional membership. Provision of health and lifestyle advice. Undertake immunisations, injections and vaccinations. Carry out screenings, e.g. lipids, blood pressure, cervical smears, etc. Assist doctors with procedures as necessary. Provision of long term condition clinics as appropriate (eg. CHD, Asthma, Hypertension, Diabetes etc) Provision of complex wound care Undertake ECG testing. Provision of travel advice. Venepuncture and the taking and preparing of pathology samples. Provision of general nursing duties, e.g. dressings, ear syringing, removal of sutures, audiometry, peak flow recordings etc. The maintenance of health promotion literature and information for patients. Management of medical supplies stock, including stock control. The inputting of information onto the Practice clinical system. Use of Practice clinical system for patient searches for clinics and patient recall. Ensure that infection control procedures are followed. The maintenance of treatment room equipment, including testing and recording. Provision of medicals as required. Participate in medical trials as required.
