The successful candidates will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services as members of our ward-based teams. This post provides an ideal opportunity for either newly qualified pharmacists looking for their first post in an acute hospital or for existing Band 6 pharmacists looking for experience working at a Band 7 level. Our Trust gives medicines management and medicines optimisation high priority. We have invested in a purpose-built, state of the art, aseptic unit. The pharmacy department has been successful in outsourcing outpatient dispensing, implementing electronic medicines management for all inpatient wards and rolled out electronic prescribing in our haematology and oncology service. Our department is also in the country to have worked with external stakeholders to develop community infusion clinics. We also led on the introduction of unique electronic locking systems for medicine cupboards which releases significant nursing time and improves medicines security. Our next major objectives are to implement electronic prescribing for all our inpatient and outpatient ward areas.
