Non ACPT trained pharmacy technicians or newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply - Training and support will be provided. Whilst ACT qualification is required for this post we welcome applicants who wish to work towards this qualification and full training will be provided. During training the contract will be Annex 21: 75% Band 5 for up to 12 months until the ACT qualification is achieved You will work as part of our Medicines procurement and Homecare services teams. You will assist in the procurement of medication including controlled drugs and infusion fluids in to our acute hospital pharmacy departments. You will also be involved in supervising the Homecare services team and developing this essential service to our patients. This role is vital to ensure continued availability of medicines for administration to patients across the Health board through the provision of a safe and efficient medicines procurement and homecare service. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and you'll need to be able to work effectively with the existing team. You should have a Btec/NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent, registration with the GPhC is essential, and you must be a qualified accuracy checking Pharmacy Technician, Hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
