We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to come and join our team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. We are a GOOD rated hospital following CQC inspection and are looking to employ a highly skilled, forward thinking, dynamic individual as a Band 6 Hand Therapist. To be responsible for the efficient, effective and safe therapeutic management of patients within RBFT. To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical practice for patients under your management and to support more junior staff to do likewise. To receive referrals and independently assess and treat own caseload of patients, ensuring evaluation and progression of treatment programmes to a high standard, and in line with National and Trust clinical guidelines, protocols and pathways where they exist To have clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and prioritise that work efficiently taking into account clinical and service priorities, using clinical knowledge to underpin decisions. To manage clinical risk within own clinical caseload and identify and report any risks witnessed. To formulate and deliver specialist individual therapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge of current practice, evidence based practice and treatment options, using clinical assessment and reasoning skills. To have knowledge of a range of treatment skills relevant to the management of patient's conditions, including transfer assessments, function, and provision of advice, education and support. To provide therapy to patients individually, or as a group.
