We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our passionate and well established ANNP team. The ANNP service at the Royal Derby Hospital has been wholly embraced and supported and this post will bring with it opportunities to further shape the future of the team. We are looking for an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with the experience, knowledge, and skills to undertake the role and responsibilities required to support the Tier1 medical rota. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with Consultant and multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. The ANNP team have protected time to develop skills and deliver improvements across the four pillars of advanced practice, whilst being supported by a Lead ANNP to ensure career development. There is also the opportunity to progress to working on the Tier 2 medical rota. Each of the ANNP team collaborates and supports each other, and supports the training of our new trainee ANNPs. You will also receive ongoing support and mentorship from the neonatal consultant leads This role will be based at bothRoyal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton. Cross site working is expected. Neonatal services at UHDB are provided across both the RDH and QHB sites. RDH NICU is a 24 bedded Local Neonatal Unit providing 3 ITU, 4 HDU and 17 special care; QHB NNU is a Special Care Unit providing 8 cots - 1 HDU and 6 Special Care plus stabilisation facilities . Both units form part of the EMNODN. Both units work closely together to develop a wider service that encompasses the needs of our community. Across site we care for babies over 27 weeks gestation requiring all levels of care. We pride ourselves on our excellent standards of care and facilities. We have an open, honest and caring team approach, supporting Family Integrated Care and the encouragement of parents and families to be involved in the care of their baby from the beginning of their journey on our unit. Families have access to an extensive Allied Health Care support team. There is a dedicated Paediatric Clinical Education Team who support the education and training of all nursing staff.
