We have the opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to join our nursing team at St Giles School. You will have the opportunity to deliver care to children at school, with specialist training and development opportunity in specialist areas of care; including respiratory support, enteral nutrition and delivery of medications to support with the management of long term complex conditions. We offer specialist training and development with a variety of pathways in which to progress your career, working closely within the wider Children's nursing teams and Clinical Nurse Specialists across acute and community services in CHS. Tulip- Paediatric Neurodisability Nursing Team- band 5 role (3 days per week term time only post) The Paediatric Neurodisability Nursing Team provides co-ordination and case management of children with highly complex and unstable long-term conditions in partnership with health, education and social care organisations. The aim of the service is to provide a dedicated specialist children's nurse to promote standards of excellence and manage the clinical risk of complex, unstable and vulnerable children in the community within the context of family centered care thereby reducing the need for secondary care interventions. Working alongside the Paediatric Neurodisability Nursing Team the Special School Nursing Service, provides nursing care, co-ordination and case management for children with acute, highly complex and unstable long-term conditions, in partnership with health, education and social care organisations. The service facilitates children and young people with healthcare needs, between the ages of 2 and 19 years of age, to access the education curriculum. The Band 5 staff nurse will provide daily clinical nursing care to children and young people with complex medical needs and learning disabilities, ensuring their health needs are supported safely to enable them to access education. The role also includes training and supervision of junior staff and non-health care professionals and line management responsibilities.
