The service provides levels 1 and 2 neurorehabilitation to a complex caseload of patients with acquired neurological conditions. Patients receivemultidisciplinary input, following a patient-centred goal planning model. The service includes inpatient centres at St George's Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton and an outpatient service based at Queen Mary's Hospital. The postholder will be part of a progressive and supportive speech and language andmultidisciplinary team. Great emphasis is placed on supervision and professional development. Experience working in neurology or neurorehabilitation, as part of a team is essential. Experience inworking with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia and dysphagia is necessary. Working with families is an important part of the work. Excellent communication skills are essential and an interest in the process as well as the outcomes of rehabilitation is desirable.
