We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about information governance compliance and has detailed knowledge of Data Protection legislation and extensive experience working within the NHS in large-scale implementations or projects involving significant information governance components. Recognising the criticality of this role, the position is a permanent role. The post holder will be the named Data Protection Officer for GP practices (including Primary Care Networks). The post-holder will be responsible for providing senior and strategic data protection legislation subject matter expertise and insight to programmes and projects to achieve beneficial changes in line with the strategic goals of NHS SEL ICB and national data protection legislation. The post holder will be responsible for the development and management of data protection legislation agenda and work collaboratively across the health landscape with PCNs, GP Practices and other organisations to provide a professional and effective Data Protection Officer role. At this time, staff in the ICB are hybrid working (predominately working from home) but there is a requirement to work in the office at Tooley Street London as required, as well as occasional travel to partner organisations, Practice sites and for offsite meetings.
