This role is both demanding and interesting, but you will be joining a team of friendly and well-established Clinicians, as well as a supportive team of Administrative Staff. Please ensure you take the time to read through the job description and person specification before applying. For the Support Medical Secretary role you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and be responsible for a range of duties related to patient pathway management, including; diary management, audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, ensuring RTT is recorded accurately with relation to National and Local RTT standards, production of reports and other correspondence as required by the Medical Team and Team manager. The post holder will be expected to cross cover colleagues in times of annual leave and sickness. Candidates should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management, IT skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to work without supervision. Audio typing is an essential part of this role. An appropriate speed and accuracy of typing is required for this role and this will be assessed at interview. Medical secretarial experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. You will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in your work. This role is primarily based at Bradford Royal Infirmary, however there may occasionally be a requirement to work across sites to provide cover as the service spans both Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's Hospital.
