Expected Shortlisting Date 31/10/2024 Planned Interview Date 06/11/2024 The successful candidate will be expected to work clinically within the multi-disciplinary team, maintain high standards of practice while supporting staff on a shift-by-shift basis and provide clinical leadership in decision making. Due to the unique specialist care that is required for effective and safe patient care, the post holder must be able to respond robustly and timely to the ever-increasing demands and challenges that our critical care units (and wider CSU teams) bring. This includes supporting and mentoring our newer and more junior team members who may not always have experience in critical care. Therefore, in order to be considered for this role, all applicants must be enrolled with a start date in place or be in possession of a post graduate certificate in critical care (steps 2/3 or equivalent course relevant to specialty), be educated to degree level, and be able to demonstrate recent extensive experience within the specialty, in particular caring for and managing the critically unwell patient who requires level 2 and level 3 care.
